Improvement & Patient Engagement Specialist
Lunacor Health Collaborative, LLC
Lunacor Health Collaborative was founded by Cinzia Olivanti to strengthen how health and behavioral health systems design, implement, and sustain communication, engagement, and partnership across complex, multicultural, and multilingual care environments. Her work positions patient and community engagement as a measurable, operational component of quality and safety—embedded into system design rather than treated as an experience layer or compliance requirement.
Cinzia believes that improvement is not a project; it’s a partnership built on listening, dignity, and shared accountability. She partners with healthcare, educational, and community organizations to implement practical, sustainable strategies that enhance care coordination, engagement, and access, especially for underserved and Spanish-speaking populations.
Cinzia brings over 20 years of experience spanning healthcare quality improvement, language access, patient engagement, and community-based systems design. She holds a Master’s degree in Management with a concentration in Quality Improvement in Healthcare and a Master’s degree in Spanish Language and Cultural Studies. She has completed formal training in Improvement Science and applies these methods across applied projects in hospital and community settings.
She is twice nationally certified as a medical interpreter and has worked in a major pediatric hospital in the region, where she partnered with clinicians, interpreters, and operational teams to strengthen communication reliability, caregiver understanding, and follow-through across language, literacy, and cultural boundaries. This work informs her systems-level approach to designing care that works for diverse populations.
As a principal consultant and trainer, Cinzia designs and delivers implementation-focused training for clinicians, interpreters, quality teams, and community partners. Her work integrates improvement science methods—including PDSA cycles, process mapping, driver diagrams, and outcome measurement—with practical tools such as teach-back, interpreter-supported workflows, and patient-centered communication. A core focus of her work is strengthening referral systems, improving matching between patients and services, and developing partnerships that support continuity across care settings.
Cinzia is a national and international speaker and facilitator presenting at healthcare, public health, health literacy, and quality improvement conferences. Her presentations and workshops focus on embedding language access into quality systems, strengthening patient and family engagement as a driver of safety, and building resilient care ecosystems through intentional partnership design and operational alignment.
Fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian, Cinzia brings a deeply multilingual and cross-cultural lens to improvement and training. Through Lunacor, she helps organizations translate values into structure so that communication, referral pathways, and partnerships reliably support trust, continuity, and effective care across complex systems and care ecosystems serving diverse, mission-driven communities.

Credentials & Highlights:
Cinzia believes that improvement is not a project; it’s a partnership built on listening, dignity, and shared accountability. She partners with healthcare, educational, and community organizations to implement practical, sustainable strategies that enhance care coordination, engagement, and access, especially for underserved and Spanish-speaking populations.
Cinzia Olivanti envisions a future in which healthcare and behavioral health systems are intentionally designed to carry meaning across language, culture, settings, and time. As care grows more complex and diverse, understanding, engagement, and continuity can no longer be left to chance or individual effort; they must be engineered into the infrastructure of care.
In this future, communication is treated as a core safety and quality function. Referral pathways are transparent and functional. Patients are not simply transferred between services, but actively matched to the right supports through trusted partnerships that span clinical and community settings. Language access, patient engagement, and community collaboration are embedded into workflows, measurement, and improvement, and not addressed after breakdowns occur.
Through Lunacor, her vision is to help organizations move from intention to infrastructure, designing care ecosystems that reliably support communication, referral pathways, and partnerships, enabling trust, continuity, and effective care for diverse populations.
Cinzia envisions these same systems and methods extending beyond healthcare to support educators, creatives, and mission-driven organizations working in other complex, human-centered environments. Her vision reaches across sectors, where arts, humanities, and science can meet and collaborate, uplifting one another and shaping systems that honor both rigor and meaning, data and story, structure and human experience.
The future of care depends on systems that can reliably support understanding in moments of complexity. Lunacor exists to help design that future where communication, referrals, and partnerships are not obstacles to navigate, but structures that make care work.
